SPARTA is an R&D program led by NEEXT Engineering, in collaboration with CNRS LRGP and Arabelle Solutions, a subsidiary of EDF Group, and a global leader in turbo-alternators for power plants.

In the SPARTA program, we are developing a significantly more compact and efficient technology for energy production from a decarbonized heat source. This innovative technology utilizes fluids patented by CNRS LRGP, which will be specifically employed in the turbines developed by Arabelle Solutions (EDF Group).

The program SPARTA receives support from the French government totaling nearly €10 million, of which €7,35 millions is allocated to NEEXT Engineering

The executives

Jean MAILLARD

President - Director of Strategy & Innovation

ENSAM engineer, Jean founded a renewable energy startup right after his studies. Since then, he honed his skills in the fields of digital transformation for businesses and innovation

Nicolas MOULIN

Director of Sales & Partnerships

Nicolas brings 20 years of experience in the energy sector, first at Alstom Power and later at General Electric. He held roles as project engineer and commercial director for the group’s nuclear activities (Arabelle turbines and conventional islands). Notably, he also served as CEO of GEAST, the “nuclear” JV between Alstom and General Electric

Alexis SESMAT

Director of Technical Operations

Alexis brings 20 years of experience from General Electric, specifically with Gas Turbines. He began as mechanical engineer and subsequently held positions as team technical lead & product technical manager. Throughout his career, Alexis honed his expertise in various domains, including Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Acoustics, Experimental Measurements & Systems Engineering

The company

NEEXT ENGINEERING decarbonizes industries by integrating all their new energy needs.

The company accelerates its ambition by participating in the FRANCE 2030 “i-Démo 3” call for projects with its SPARTA R&D program.

In September 2023, our startup successfully raised funds from over 120 citizens in the northern Franche-Comté region and beyond, many of whom are industry engineers.

Currently, NEEXT ENGINEERING is patenting technologies that address the emerging energy requirements of industries.

Our roots trace back to the APSIIS association, which fosters economic activities by leveraging the skills of the France northern Franche-Comté region, specifically Belfort city.
